The information available on or through our website is the property of Restaurant Gifts and is protected by copyright, trademarks, and other intellectual property laws.
Users may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, publish, sell, license, create derivative works, or otherwise use any information available on or through this website for commercial or public purposes.
User agrees not to modify, move, add to, delete, or otherwise tamper with the information contained in the website. User also agrees not to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or unlawfully use or reproduce any of the software, copyrighted or trademarked material, trade secrets, or other proprietary information contained in the website.
Gift Envelopes and Gift Boxes are posted same day Mon-Fri if ordered before 2pm (excluding UK Bank Holidays). Royal Mail 1st Class aims to deliver your gift the next working day – but this is not guaranteed and expected delivery can be 2-3 working days, or 4-5 working days at busy periods such as Christmas. Deliveries sent out with the UK are sent by Standard International Airmail.
Royal Mail do not accept deliveries as “missing” until 10 working days has passed, however gifts not received within 5 working days will be resent free of charge.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and security. We are obliged by the Distance Selling Directive, the Data Protection legislation and all current Trade and Legal precedence and policies to respect your wishes. From time to time we may use the information gathered in order to send your customers promotional information from our Marketing Team.
You can at any time ‘contact us’ and we will opt you out of any aspect of our marketing programme. We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. We never give your details to any other person or company, this information will be used to process orders and, if necessary, to contact you regarding the status of your orders.
We never collect other sensitive information about you.
What information do we collect? How do we use it?
When you order, we need to know your name, address, email address, recipient name and delivery address. This allows us to process and fulfil your order and to notify you of the status of your order.
We also ask for your telephone number, which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.
We send out newsletters only to those that have opted in for this service. Customers are able to opt out at any time – details of how to opt out appear on every newsletter and can usually be found at both the top and bottom of the newsletter. Users will be able to able to opt out either through a dedicated unsubscribe link or through the dedicated preferences area.
How does Restaurant Gifts protect customer information?
When you place orders we use a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Legislation, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
Online purchases are paid directly to the Hotel or Restaurant you are purchasing from and monies are not paid to Restaurant Gifts. The payment processor used by each Hotel or Restaurant is clearly identified in the Gift Specification details and could be either Secure Trading, Realex, Worldpay, Stripe Payments or PayPal. Restaurant Gifts are not a 3rd party agent, merchant or gift voucher retailer and as such the contract of purchase exists between you and the Hotel or Restaurant. Chargebacks and disputes are the sole responsibility of the Hotel or Restaurant.
