In 1992 the brothers Sandro and Piero Sarti and their good friend Gerry O’Donnell, opened the first of their Fratelli Sarti and alimentari in Wellington Street, Glasgow. Soon as the restaurant opened its doors, it became the talking point of the city, as a result, they became the benchmark for many good restaurants today.
The idea was simple. Bring together the quality and simplicity of their Cucina Toscana from the mountains of Garfagnana and the wonderful Mediterranean seafood from Versilia and Liguria. Their policy is to use only the best ingredients. To this day they import all our Prosciutto di Parma, Virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, 24 month old Parmigiano Reggiano and much more Direct from Italy.
There are 3 restaurants in Glasgow since they first opened. Bath Street, Renfield Street and of course the original in Wellington Street. All serving a fantastic selection of authentic Italian cuisine.
Whatever the occasion the dedicated staff and the talented chefs will ensure it’s enjoyable.
